{"id":1368,"date":"2020-11-10T15:16:37","date_gmt":"2020-11-10T11:16:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iqralaan.wordpress.com\/?p=120"},"modified":"2022-12-30T09:27:34","modified_gmt":"2022-12-30T05:27:34","slug":"welcome-friends-day-5-hq-2-58-69-pages-910","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iqraprinciple.com\/ar\/welcome-friends-day-5-hq-2-58-69-pages-910\/","title":{"rendered":"HQ 2:58-69; pages 9+10."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Welcome Friends:&nbsp; <em>Ahlan wa sahlan<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">I hope you are using the tools added to our project.&nbsp; At the altafsir website there also are many explanations in Arabic, such as al <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/Tafasir.asp?tMadhNo=1&amp;tTafsirNo=2&amp;tSoraNo=1&amp;tAyahNo=1&amp;tDisplay=yes&amp;UserProfile=0&amp;LanguageId=1\">Zamakhshari\u2019s<\/a> from which I quoted yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s so much easier with such tools at our fingertips.&nbsp; May God reward all the early scholars who toiled over their work without adequate writing material, penning and compiling, and all who added effort to theirs, and those who ultimately placed these references at our fingertips!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Indeed, without those whom we call&nbsp; in Arabic \u2018\u0625\u062e\u0648\u062a\u0646\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0630\u064a\u0646 \u0633\u0628\u0642\u0648\u0646\u0627 \u0628\u0627\u0644\u0625\u064a\u0645\u0627\u0646-our brethren who preceded us in faith\u2019 &nbsp;we would be lost!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>COMMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>In yesterday\u2019s reading, the Qur\u2019an gave us an account of Moses\u2019 trial with his people; how, although he had freed them, they did NOT seem capable of freeing themselves from their concept of servitude, which had spanned generations.\u00a0 Their story is not unique in that sense, but serves as an example of the power which perception holds over reason.\u00a0 During Moses\u2019 40 days of absence, they turned to worshipping a calf instead of God, but God forgave them.\u00a0 As we understand, He was giving them a chance to grow and mature, to rise in faith, knowledge, and self-respect above their past.\u00a0 In verse 52, \u2018yashkurun\u2019 is from the root verb \u2018sha-ka-ra\u2019 which means to appreciate; increase, enhance, be productive which is THE TRUE PROOF OF GRATITUDE, because just feeling something without evidence of it is not worth much.<\/li><li>In studying the effects of slavery one must note that persons who have never been free, tend to, not only lack qualities of leadership, but also to find difficulty in accepting any kind of change -even when for the better.\u00a0 This seems to be one of the main reasons behind the lack of positivity which Moses\u2019 followers were notorious for, which the Old Testament describes in some detail.\u00a0 Perhaps we can now understand one reason why God made Moses\u2019 mother give him up.\u00a0 She had to do so in order for him to be adopted into the family who had ultimate power, setting free his inborn strengths and gaining the qualities of leadership necessary to take his people out of servitude.\u00a0 Freedom is indeed worth cherishing.<\/li><li>In today\u2019s pages we have 5 instances of the Children of Israel\u2019s disobedience mentioned, and one mention of their \u2018killing Prophets with no right.\u2019\u00a0 We also find them substituting the rightful words to say with other words, or preferring a larger variety of lower-grade foods than the few excellent staples God had provided for them, and even profaning the Sabbath.\u00a0 The Qur\u2019an says that in their story and in the consequence they earned is a lesson to all who are Aware.\u00a0 Sadly, throughout history, very few of us remained Aware, as proven by our status quo today.<\/li><li>The word \u2018Misr\u2019 in Arabic means \u2018within limits,\u2019 as in land within boundaries, or shortage of provision.<a href=\"#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> \u00a0<em>That<\/em> was to be their portion (verse 61) after having asked for inferior sustenance and argued with Moses, so they were told to descend \u2018Misr,\u2019 the plural of which is \u2018amsaar\u2019 of lands. This was a descent in status, as evident from the rest of the line\u2026 \u201cand ignominy and humiliation overshadowed them\u2026\u201d Most scholars however just say that the Children of Israel were told to descend to Egypt.\u00a0 The Arabic name for Egypt has been Misr since Amr Ibnil Aas named his stronghold there \u2018The Tented City\u2019 (Misr al Fustaat) circa 641 AD.\u00a0 Its Greek name, relative to the Copts, was Aig\u00fdptios.<\/li><li>Asad explains eloquently, how Verse 62 lays down a fundamental doctrine of Islam, that salvation is ultimately conditional upon belief in God, in Judgment Day, and righteous action in life.
