It is God\u2019s Word asserting that his Standard of Accountability is the one approved by God.&nbsp; Here we recall other verses which highlight that fact, as in HQ.39:15.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In other verses we are warned of being like those who separated and divided their Accountability Standard, and became sects\/<em>shia\u2019<\/em>\/\u0634\u0650\u064a\u064e\u0639, each party exulting with what it had made its own (HQ.30:32).<a href=\"#_ftn2\" id=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>That is because a person\u2019s <\/em><em>deen\/accountability standard often is relative to that person: (<\/em>notice, 10 times \u2018<em>your<\/em> Deen\/\u062f\u064a\u0646\u0643\u0645; 11 times <em>their<\/em> Deen\u062f\u064a\u0646\u0647\u0645 10 &nbsp;Deen\u2019\u2026<em> <\/em>and of course, HQ. 109!<a href=\"#_ftn3\" id=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is of paramount importance for each of us to have\/ to follow The Accountability Standard approved by God, as sent to His Messenger, peace upon him, of which we have absolutely no doubt\/<em>shakk<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">All the Prophets and Messengers were faced with their people\u2019s \u2018<em>shakk<\/em>\/doubt,\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn4\" id=\"_ftnref4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a> the Qur\u2019an speaking of something more than mere doubt; <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%B4%D9%83%20%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A8%20-%D9%8A%D8%B4%D9%83%D8%B1%20-%D8%AA%D8%B4%D9%83%D8%B1\">their <em>\u2018shakk mureeb\/<\/em><em>\u0634\u0643 \u0645\u0631\u064a\u0628<\/em><em>\u2019;<\/em><\/a>their <em>disquieting<\/em> doubt(which in HQ.14:9 was openly admitted).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=10&amp;Ayah=105&amp;toAyah=105&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">105<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a><strong>\u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0646\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u0642\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u062c\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0643\u064e \u0644\u0650\u0644\u062f\u0650\u0651\u064a\u0646\u0650 \u062d\u064e\u0646\u0650\u064a\u0641\u064b\u0627 \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u062a\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0651 \u0645\u0650\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0634\u0652\u0631\u0650\u0643\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e<\/strong><\/a><strong> \u200e<\/strong><strong>\ufd3f\u0661\u0660\u0665\ufd3e\u200f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u201cAnd you should set upright\/rectify your direction \u0623\u064e\u0642\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u062c\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0643\u064e <em>relative to <\/em>the Standard of Accountability, Haneefan\/whilst Self-correcting, and never in any way be of the Shirkers\/ who Associate (<\/strong>partners to God<strong>).<\/strong>\u201d (105)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Notice that almost always after the word \u2018Haneef\u2019 is mentioned, there is a warning against \u2018shirk\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%AD%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%81%20%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%83\">eight<\/a> times out <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%AD%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%81\">of ten<\/a>!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">What does \u2018Haneef\u2019 mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">From the root-verb \u1e25anafa, it originally referred to a person\u2019s manner of walking, and is about constant, conscious effort to maintain balance; self-correcting with each step so as to detect and stay on the straightest path<a href=\"#_ftn5\" id=\"_ftnref5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a> -(and as the verses indicate, not to fall into shirk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The term has always had monotheistic connotations, usually explained as a person who \u2018bends toward Righteousness,\u2019 what Asad calls, \u2018to incline towards a right state or tendency\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=2&amp;Ayah=135&amp;toAyah=135&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">see his note<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">By definition, persons who keep \u2018curving towards righteousness\u2019 at every turn of events can only do so by self-correcting as they maintain their cognitive and physical flexibility, not adhering to what they were used to or being influenced by what prevails.&nbsp; Shirk is far more prevalent than we realize; it is a \u2018<em>sharak<\/em>\/net\u2019 which the unwary get trapped in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">That is indeed food for thought as we look upon ourselves as Muslims today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Here we recall the beautiful words <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#6:161\">(HQ. 6:161-163)<\/a> which our Messenger peace upon him was told to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is notable that the occurrence of this word (Haneef) is mostly related to Prophet Abraham: HQ 3:67; 3:95; 4:125; 6:161; 16:120; 16:123).&nbsp;&nbsp;Not only that, but&nbsp;<em>it was Abraham who first gave himself that description,&nbsp;<\/em>after stating that neither the waning moon nor the setting sun were worthy of adoration (HQ 6: 74-79).&nbsp; His \u2018hanaf\u2019 away from prevalent mores and customs earned him his people\u2019s wrath and their literal trial of him by fire\u2026 may God\u2019s peace and blessings be upon him!<a href=\"#_ftn6\" id=\"_ftnref6\"><sup>[6]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In order to remain upright\/rectified toward our Standard of Accountability, each of us must be Haneef; we cannot be rigid in our understanding or our ways -committing varying degrees of Shirk as we move through the social contexts and ups and downs of life.&nbsp; We must reposition ourselves with every step we take; indeed, this is the only way that we can purify ourselves and grow, both inwardly and outwardly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Aside: About \u2018straightening\/ rectification:\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Let us now put together the verses <a>on \u2018straightening\/ rectification\u2019 <\/a>we spoke of recently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Verse 89 which commanded Moses and Aaron to \u2018straighten\/rectify\u2019 <strong>\u0641\u0627\u0633\u062a\u0642\u064a\u0645\u0627<\/strong> their direction, away from the route of Those who do not know\/ distinguish.&nbsp; Then we recalled the following verse which showed us exactly WHERETO\/ ILAA \u0625\u0644\u0649 the rectification should lead:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u201cSay, I am indeed but a human being\/Bashar like you, (but I am) receiving exclusive information that indeed, your God is but One God, <em>so straighten\/rectify (yourselves) towards Him,<\/em> \u0641\u064e\u0627\u0633\u0652\u062a\u064e\u0642\u0650\u064a\u0645\u064f\u0648\u0627 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0647\u0650 and seek His forgiveness, and woe\/wailing to the Shirkers.\u201d<\/strong> (HQ. 41:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">And then now Verse 105 commands rectification, not \u2018ilaa\/ \u0625\u0644\u0649 ,\u2019 but \u2018li\/&nbsp; \u0644\u0650\u2019 which gives us a different meaning. &nbsp;In fact, when we search Tanzil, we notice that whenever Deen is mentioned, rectification is not toward it, but rather, <em>relative<\/em> to it.&nbsp; Why is that important?&nbsp; Because it is an Accountability <em>Standard<\/em>; something we measure ourselves against, knowing that there shall be a Day\/Time when we are held to Account.&nbsp; It is a standard we are to pursue -in pure sincerity- towards God.<a href=\"#_ftn7\" id=\"_ftnref7\"><sup>[7]<\/sup><\/a> &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u201cAnd you should set upright\/rectify your direction \u0623\u064e\u0642\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u062c\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0643\u064e <em>relative to <\/em>the Standard of Accountability, Haneefan\/whilst Self-correcting, and never in any way be of the Shirkers\/ who Associate (<\/strong>partners to God<strong>).<\/strong>\u201d (105)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0646\u0652 \u0623\u064e\u0642\u0650\u0645\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u062c\u0652\u0647\u064e\u0643\u064e \u0644\u0650\u0644\u062f\u0650\u0651\u064a\u0646\u0650 \u062d\u064e\u0646\u0650\u064a\u0641\u064b\u0627 \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u062a\u064e\u0643\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0651 \u0645\u0650\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0645\u064f\u0634\u0652\u0631\u0650\u0643\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e<\/strong><strong> \u200e<\/strong><strong>\ufd3f\u0661\u0660\u0665\ufd3e\u200f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Now, to crown this concept we note that all this \u2018rectification\u2019 is called \u2018taqweem\u2019 in Arabic, which is what God said of us when He created the <a>Cognizant Human<\/a>\/Inssaan in the best and most beautiful of constitution! &nbsp;This is about Inssaan, not Bashar, the Cognizant Human in the best and most beautiful of righteous mental and spiritual constitution, knowing Who our Lord-Sustainer is, bearing witness to Him, worshipping Him Alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Our journey&nbsp;is, indeed, full circle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We are created in the best of taqweem, and must try to remain -or renew- istiqaamah, &nbsp;\u2018straightening\u2019 TOWARD GOD&nbsp; ((\u0625\u0644\u0649 AS OUR ULTIMATE DESTINATION, while we maintain upright position <em>in relation to<\/em> (\u0644\u0650) the Deen\/Accountability standard, in a Haneef manner, like both Prophet Abraham and our Prophet, peace upon them both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Back to our verses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-list\">\n<li>Then, Verse<a> <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=10&amp;Ayah=106&amp;toAyah=106&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">106<\/a> instructs:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a><\/a><a><strong>\u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u062a\u064e\u062f\u0652\u0639\u064f \u0645\u0650\u0646 \u062f\u064f\u0648\u0646\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u0650 \u0645\u064e\u0627 \u0644\u064e\u0627 \u064a\u064e\u0646\u0641\u064e\u0639\u064f\u0643\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u064a\u064e\u0636\u064f\u0631\u064f\u0651\u0643\u064e \u06d6 \u0641\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0646 \u0641\u064e\u0639\u064e\u0644\u0652\u062a\u064e \u0641\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0646\u064e\u0651\u0643\u064e \u0625\u0650\u0630\u064b\u0627 \u0645\u0650\u0651\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0638\u064e\u0651\u0627\u0644\u0650\u0645\u0650\u064a\u0646\u064e<\/strong><\/a><strong> \u200e<\/strong><strong>\ufd3f\u0661\u0660\u0666\ufd3e\u200f<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u201cAnd do not call upon (<\/strong>any<strong>) other than God, what can neither benefit you nor harm\/afflict you: for if you do, you will indeed be among the Wrongdoers!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Our \u2018wrongdoing\/<em>thulm\u2019<\/em> in this verse is against ourselves, which shows us that our wrongs <em>always are against our own selves<\/em>, especially when we are wronging others; it is ourselves who get wronged most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Here we see the two opposites, \u2018benefit\/ nafe\u2019\/ \u0646\u064e\u0641\u0652\u0639\u2019 and \u2018harm\/ Dhurr\/\u0636\u064f\u0631.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The mention of \u2018affliction\/harm\/Dhurr\u2019 here takes us to the next verse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=10&amp;Ayah=107&amp;toAyah=107&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=4\">107:<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Although well-explained by both, I think Verse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=10&amp;Ayah=107&amp;toAyah=107&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=4\">107&nbsp;reads better with Yusuf Ali\u2019s comments<\/a>.&nbsp; <em>However, we do need to look at certain words in context and try to understand this verse part by part.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">FIRST PART:<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u0648\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0646 \u064a\u064e\u0645\u0652\u0633\u064e\u0633\u0652\u0643\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064f \u0628\u0650\u0636\u064f\u0631\u064d\u0651 \u0641\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0643\u064e\u0627\u0634\u0650\u0641\u064e \u0644\u064e\u0647\u064f \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0627 \u0647\u064f\u0648\u064e \u06d6 <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>The first few words in this verse tell us that IF God \u2018touches\u2019 you<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn8\" id=\"_ftnref8\"><sup>[8]<\/sup><\/a><em> with some affliction\/Dhurr; the verse does not say \u2018if God \u2018afflicts\u2019 you&#8230;<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn9\" id=\"_ftnref9\"><sup>[9]<\/sup><\/a><em> and <\/em>we notice His Forgiveness and Compassion &#8211; \u0648\u0647\u0648 \u0627\u0644\u063a\u0641\u0648\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u062d\u064a\u0645 \u2013which the verse asserts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">So, although God might touch us with affliction\/Dhurr at times, it is only He who lifts it, so it is to Him that we should turn when we are so touched.&nbsp; We do so of course by making use of the best \u2018means\/ asbaab\/\u0623\u0633\u0628\u0627\u0628\u2019 which He also sends our way to help lift the affliction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The following facts are important to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-list\">\n<li>The verb \u2018Dharra\/ to harm or afflict\u2019 does not show up -even as a verb- related to God in the Qur\u2019an; it appears however in a weak Hadeeth, as scholars tell us.<a href=\"#_ftn10\" id=\"_ftnref10\"><sup>[10]<\/sup><\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The title\/attribute \u2018Al Dhaar\/\u0627\u0644\u0636\u0627\u0631\u2019 -explained as \u2018The Distresser\/ The Harmer\/ The Afflicter\u2019- is found in the most famous compiled lists of God\u2019s Attributes. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholars who approve of these lists tell us that Al Dhaar\/ The Harmer\/ The Afflicter must always be coupled with its opposite, Al Naafi\/ The Beneficial\u2019 (\u0627\u0644\u0636\u0627\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0627\u0641\u0639), and that we should not use or explain each name in isolation as that would be an inaccurate, less comprehensive description of God.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The generally approved lists contain most<a href=\"#_ftn11\" id=\"_ftnref11\"><sup>[11]<\/sup><\/a> of God\u2019s Qur\u2019anic attributes together with other titles that are not mentioned in the Qur\u2019an.&nbsp; Some titles were made out of actual Qur\u2019anic verbs (about what God does), and others were made out of inferences (such as in \u2018Al Dharr\u2019 which is not mentioned even in verb form). &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">SECOND PART:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u0648\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0646 \u064a\u064f\u0631\u0650\u062f\u0652\u0643\u064e \u0628\u0650\u062e\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0631\u064d \u0641\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0627 \u0631\u064e\u0627\u062f\u064e\u0651 \u0644\u0650\u0641\u064e\u0636\u0652\u0644\u0650\u0647\u0650 \u06da <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Here we also understand, that if God touches us with affliction, which none but He can lift, <em>when He yureed\/<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn12\" id=\"_ftnref12\"><sup>[12]<\/sup><\/a><em> intends-and initiates- Kheyr\/ prosperity\/ benefit for us, none can turn back His Bounty.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">So, His Bounty is there by His will and initiation, and it is up to each of us to receive it! &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Let us ponder upon the verb \u2018yureed\u2019 here, and note other examples of what God actually \u2018yureed\/ intends and initiates\u2019 for us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">HQ.2:185: He \u2018yureed\/ intends\u2019 that we have ease and NOT have difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">HQ.4:26: &nbsp;&nbsp;He \u2018yureed\/ intends\u2019 to make clear for us, to guide us, and to forgive us<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">HQ.4:28: &nbsp;&nbsp;He \u2018yureed\/ intends\u2019 to lighten our load<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">HQ.5:6&nbsp; : &nbsp;&nbsp;He \u2018yureed\/ intends\u2019 to purify us and to complete His favor upon us WITHOUT hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">HQ.8:7&nbsp; : &nbsp;&nbsp;He \u2018yureed\/ intends\u2019 to deliver Truth and Justice by His Words<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Having better understood the above parts of the verse -and recognized the VERBS by which HE chose to identify HIS actions (related to how He might <em>touch<\/em> us with Dhurr, while He <em>wills and initiates<\/em> Kheyr), we decide to be more aware of HIS WORDS.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">I speak for myself here, saying that, as someone who is only a mere creature of His Creation (\u0628\u064e\u0634\u064e\u0631\u064c \u0645\u0650\u0651\u0645\u064e\u0651\u0646\u0652 \u062e\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0642\u064e), I would not knowingly posit a title with regard to my Creator which He had not titled Himself with.&nbsp; whomsoever of His Worshippers that He wills, the pronoun \u2018it\u2019 most likely referring to the noun closest to it, which is Bounty, Kheyr\/ \u0627\u0644\u062e\u064a\u0631 \u064a\u0635\u064a\u0628\u0646\u0627 -although possibly to both Kheyr and Dhurr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">A special note to speakers of Arabic here who (in common use) have restricted the word \u2018yuSeeb\u2019 (past tense: \u2018aSaaba\u0623\u0635\u0627\u0628\/\u2019; noun: \u2018muSeebah\/\u0645\u064f\u0635\u064a\u0628\u0629\u2019) to negative connotations, despite the Qur\u2019an using it both positively and negatively: &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>The verb \u2018yuSeeb\/ <\/em><em>\u064a\u0635\u064a\u0628<\/em><em>\u2019 can also be used positively as in \u2018kheyr\u2019 being directed (to alight) upon someone in <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#22:11\">HQ.22:11. <\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em>That is because\u2018yuSeeb,\u2019 from root verb \u2018Sawaba\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn13\" id=\"_ftnref13\"><sup>[13]<\/sup><\/a> is about something landing\/alighting where it should land, being \u2018on target.\u2019&nbsp; Arabs say \u2018aSaaba\/\u0623\u0635\u0627\u0628\u2019 indicating that what was done is correct -on mark\/ Sawaab\u0635\u0648\u0627\u0628 \/,\u2019 the opposite of which is having been wrong and off-mark\/ akhaTa\u2019a\/ \u0623\u062e\u0637\u0623\u2019. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">An example of something \u2018on mark\u2019 and positive is \u2018rainfall\u2019 called \u2018Sayyib\/\u0635\u064e\u064a\u0650\u0651\u0628\u2019 while an example of something \u2018on mark\u2019 yet negative would be an arrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2018He is the Most-Forgiving, Most Merciful,\u2019 indicates that whatever He does, He does out of Mercy. it is up to them to choose either gift-guidance FOR themselves, or misguidance AGAINST themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Also, he is told to assert that he is not responsible for them or for their choices; he is not a guardian\/ trustee\/ <em>wakeel<\/em> over them (the word \u2018<em><a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%A8%D9%88%D9%83%D9%8A%D9%84\">wakeel<\/a>\u2019<\/em> is similarly mentioned in several verses). &nbsp;The command to tell this to his people also serves to relieve him of any sense of responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verse <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=10&amp;Ayah=109&amp;toAyah=109&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">109<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The last verse in this Surah\/ Chapter&nbsp; tells the Messenger, peace upon him, to follow what had been revealed to him\/ exclusively communicated to him,<a href=\"#_ftn15\" id=\"_ftnref15\"><sup>[15]<\/sup><\/a> and to patiently persevere until God\u2019s Judgement comes to pass, for God is the best to pass judgement\/ best of Judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">This is similar to HQ 7:85-87, where listeners, in another LATE Meccan Sura, were being told that God\u2019s Judgement will certainly come to pass; that was part of Prophet Shu\u2019ayb\u2019s most eloquent address to his people where he commanded them to be just in their dealings, ending by telling them all -Those Who had Faith and Trust in his message as well as those who didn\u2019t- that they should patiently persevere\/ await God\u2019s judgment of their differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">With that important advice CARRYING BOTH GLAD TIDINGS AND A WARNING this beautiful Meccan Surah comes to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Enough said!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Our next Reading spiked\/stuck together (on a <em>mishak<\/em>\/ spike\/ pointed stick\/ skewer) so that they overlap\/ get commingled and you couldn\u2019t tell one from the other.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">From that it is said: I stabbed\/<em>shakaktu<\/em> him with a spear, since when he is stabbed the point goes into his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">And from this comes the concept of <em>shakk\/<\/em> doubt\/ambiguity\/equivocation, uncertainty, the opposite of certainty\/ <em>yaqeen<\/em>, because the person who has \u2018<em>shakk\u2019<\/em> is as someone for whom two issues are equally \u2018stuck\u2019 together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">You say: I <em>shakaktu<\/em> between two
