{"id":346,"date":"2021-02-21T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-21T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iqralaan.wordpress.com\/?p=346"},"modified":"2022-12-30T09:27:31","modified_gmt":"2022-12-30T05:27:31","slug":"welcome-friends-day-46-hq480-90-pages-9192","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iqraprinciple.com\/ar\/welcome-friends-day-46-hq480-90-pages-9192\/","title":{"rendered":"HQ 4:80-90, pages 91+92"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Welcome Friends:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Ahlan wa sahlan<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>COMMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;Although Verse 80 may seem like another call to support and obey the Messenger, it is much more than that. This verse is a statement, a warning, and a solace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It is a general statement of fact, that any who obey and support the Messenger of God will be doing so as part of the obedience they owe God, while he is not to be concerned with people who turn away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It holds a grave warning to ALL those interacting with the Messenger, that it is God Himself they will be answering to in their hidden intentions and decisions, as well as in their outward actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It is a Solace to the Messenger Muhammad, peace upon him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">People obeying the Messenger would be obeying God, but whatever they choose is&nbsp;<em>their own responsibility<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>for you are not their keeper<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">How troubling it must have been for the Messenger of God, and indeed any of His Messengers, to find some people simply turning their backs on God\u2019s Message!&nbsp;&nbsp;But the Qur\u2019an teaches us that this is part of the diversity that is Humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Readers who remember our posting of Blog Post Day 31 will note that here too, obedience is owed Muhammad \ufdfa in his capacity as God\u2019s Messenger (remember, the title \u2018Messenger\u2019 relates to the Message itself, while the title \u2018Prophet\u2019 relates to his prominence among people.&nbsp; As a Prophet, he would relate to the normal everyday issues of life, and would be addressed as such regarding such matters, peace upon him).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Verse 81 continues in its discussion of Hypocrites; here their lips voice the words of obedience while they hide their true sentiments and, furthermore, devise corruptive strategies&nbsp;by night (Asad\u2019s note 96 explains the word \u2018baata\u2019&nbsp;-\u201d\u0628\u0627\u062a\u201d) BUT&nbsp;<em>God is compiling ALL they devise and attempt to<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><em>hide &#8220;\u064a\u0643\u062a\u0628 \u0645\u0627 \u064a\u0628\u064a\u062a\u0648\u0646-.&nbsp; (Another warning for any who listen!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Let them be, rely on God and He will suffice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 82 poses a question and presents a statement of fact.&nbsp;&nbsp;WE should be fully aware of the significance of the word \u2018tadabbara\u2019&nbsp;\u062a\u062f\u0628\u0651\u0631,<a href=\"#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> which means to \u2018follow through to the end result,\u2019 realizing the consequences and full implications of something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Do they not then \u2018<em>recognize the full implications\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;of the Qur\u2019an?&nbsp;&nbsp;For had it been from any (source) other than God they would have found in it much discrepancy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In HQ47:24&nbsp;we find the same verb:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Do they not then \u2018<em>recognize the full implications\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;of the Qur\u2019an?&nbsp;&nbsp;Or are, upon certain hearts\/minds, their locks (clamping them shut)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 83 is about the actions of hypocrites who spread false rumor.&nbsp;&nbsp;People should verify reports that are vital to a community\u2019s well-being by asking responsible persons.&nbsp;&nbsp;Here we are introduced to the contrast of \u2018amn\u2019 -\u0623\u0645\u0646 versus \u2018khawf\u2019&nbsp;\u062e\u0648\u0641&nbsp;\u2013 the opposing concepts of \u2018security, or feeling of safety, versus \u2018fear, or sense of alarm.\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;Our realization that these two are \u2018opposites\u2019 will help us understand other verses (<a href=\"http:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%A7%D9%85%D9%86%20%D8%AE%D9%88%D9%81\">Tanzil:&nbsp;\u0627\u0645\u0646 \u062e\u0648\u0641<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In verse 84, the encouragement to \u2018Fight then in God\u2019s cause; you are only responsible for yourself\u2026and inspire\/rouse the The Faithful is not an \u2018incitement\u2019 to war, as explained by Asad\u2019s notes 101-102.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The final part of the verse makes it quite clear, that they are fighting to \u2018curb the Deniers might\u2019 (Asad); to \u2018restrain the Unbelievers\u2019 fury\u2019 (Ali).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">4.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 85&nbsp;makes us \u2018shareholders\u2019 in any deeds we facilitate, whether good or bad!&nbsp;&nbsp;M. Asad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cWhoever rallies to a good cause shall have a share in its blessings; and whoever rallies to an evil cause shall be answerable for his part in it: for, indeed, God watches over everything.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Yusuf Ali considers the person a \u2018partner\u2019 in the first and a sharer of \u2018burden\u2019 in the second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">5.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 86 is oft-quoted, show the best etiquette regarding greetings of Peace.&nbsp;&nbsp;We should always return in kind, or better than what we are offered.&nbsp;&nbsp;The final part of the verse is one we should pay close attention to: \u201c\u2026.indeed God Is of everything, One Who Holds to Account&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u062d\u0633\u064a\u0628\u0627\u2026.&nbsp;According to Muhammad Asad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cLit., \u201cgreet with better than it, or return it\u201d. In the above context, this obviously refers to an offer of peace by people with whom the believers are at war as well as to individual persons who, while possibly belonging to the enemy, have, to all outward appearances, peaceful intentions. In accordance with the injunctions, \u201cif they incline to peace, incline thou to it as well\u201d (8:61), and \u201cif they desist (from fighting), then all hostility shall cease\u201d (2:193), the believers are obliged to make peace with an enemy who makes it clear that he wants to come to an equitable understanding; similarly, they must show every consideration to individual persons from among the enemies who do not actively participate in the hostilities (see also verse 94 of this surah).(Quran Ref: 4:86)\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">6.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 87: \u201cAllah, no god but He\u201d is an affirmation we are already familiar with (HQ2:255; 3:2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">(If you wish <a href=\"http:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%22%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D9%87%20%D9%84%D8%A7%20%D8%A5%D9%84%D9%87%20%D8%A5%D9%84%D8%A7%20%D9%87%D9%88%22\">to read them all in Tanzil<\/a>).&nbsp; Remember our first post, where we said that&nbsp; \u201c<em>Allah is NOT an uncommon word for God<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The latter part of verse 87 asks:&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201c\u2026and who is more truthful of \u2018Hadeeth\u2019 than God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Although we mostly relate the word \u2018Hadeeth\u2019 to Prophet Muhammad\u2019s Sayings, peace upon him, the word means something \u2018that was not there before,\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a> the opposite of \u2018old\u2019 or \u0642\u062f\u064a\u0645&nbsp;\u2018qadeem.\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;It also means something that is being announced in real time&nbsp;\u201c\u062e\u0628\u0631\u201d \u2018khabar.\u2019 &nbsp;In this context it refers to the Qur\u2019an as being the latest communication from God.&nbsp;&nbsp;In that context we can take the Prophet\u2019s Hadeeth to be his communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">See the verse which mentions the Qur\u2019an as the \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%A3%D8%AD%D8%B3%D9%86%20%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AB\">best\u2019 of Hadeeth (HQ39:23)&nbsp;\u0623\u062d\u0633\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u062d\u062f\u064a\u062b<\/a>, and the four verses which call the Qur\u2019an \u2018this Hadeeth&nbsp;\u0647\u0630\u0627 <a href=\"http:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D9%87%D8%B0%D8%A7%20%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AB\">\u0627\u0644\u062d\u062f\u064a\u062b&nbsp;(HQ18:6; 53:59; 56:81; 68:44).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">7.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verses 88-89-90 discuss those who fluctuate between seeking protection from Those Who Attained Faith on one hand, and from their own people on the other: The hopes of <a>Those Who Attained Faith<\/a> are shown to be futile, in that such persons would&nbsp;never join their ranks.&nbsp; Rather, their aim is to make <em>them<\/em> deny God and His Messenger (as they themselves have done).&nbsp; Such persons could never be considered to have joined the ranks of <a>Those Who Attained Faith <\/a>until they have completely disarmed themselves, extended Peace to them, and pulled back from any attack.&nbsp; &nbsp;Otherwise, IF they did revert to open enmity (bearing arms against them), Those Who Attained Faith could put a firm stop to them, even if that led to killing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">These enemies would actually be safe were they to attach themselves to a community with whom the Faithful &nbsp;have a covenant or peaceful agreement (which means they won\u2019t fight any more), or abstained from fighting and offered Peace, in which cases God does NOT allow Those Who Attained Faith any way against them (in harming them).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Parts of these verses are famously taken&nbsp;out of context (\u201c..slay them wherever you may find them\u201d..),&nbsp;to validate a mindset that goes against the ever-present thread of Justice that flows through the entire Qur\u2019an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Enough said!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our next Reading is from HQ4:91-101.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Peace unto all!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;[1] &nbsp;\u062f\u0628\u0631: \u0647\u0648 \u0622\u062e\u0650\u0631 \u0627\u0644\u0634\u064e\u0651\u064a\u0621 \u0648\u062e\u064e\u0644\u0652\u0641\u064f\u0647 \u062e\u0644\u0627\u0641\u064f \u0642\u064f\u0628\u064f\u0644\u0650\u0647&#8230;
