{"id":431,"date":"2021-09-26T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-26T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iqralaan.wordpress.com\/?p=431"},"modified":"2022-12-30T09:27:32","modified_gmt":"2022-12-30T05:27:32","slug":"welcome-friends-day-73-quran-6117-131-pages-143-144","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iqraprinciple.com\/ar\/welcome-friends-day-73-quran-6117-131-pages-143-144\/","title":{"rendered":"HQ 6:117-131, pages 143-144"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Welcome Friends:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Ahlan wa sahlan<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The last few pages held important concepts which we discuss for the first time, which is why our daily readings are divided the way they are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>COMMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;Yesterday\u2019s Reading ended with a statement (addressed directly to Prophet Muhammad, peace upon him, and indirectly to us all) showing that, if \u2018you\u2019 were to follow them, most people on earth will lead \u2018you\u2019 astray; all they follow is Conjecture, and all they can do is guess.&nbsp;We continue today with verse 117, which forms an important CONCLUSION to that statement, indicating that, despite that Reality of theirs, God Alone Knows Best those who stray (verb) and those who are the Guided (title).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;The following verses might seem surprising:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>\u201cThen consume of that upon which God\u2019s name has been mentioned, if you indeed have faith (and trust) in his Signs!\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>(118)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Asad <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=6&amp;Ayah=118&amp;toAyah=118&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">explains in his note, <\/a>&nbsp;<em>\u201cthe reason why these two verses have been placed in the midst of a discourse on God\u2019s transcendental unity and the ways of man\u2019s faith\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The reason for these two verses being mentioned here, is so that those who have Faith and Trust in His signs would NOT make the&nbsp;<em>observance<\/em>&nbsp;of God\u2019s commandments, an end in itself.&nbsp; In other words, we should keep our priorities straight: the ritual is NOT the goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Also, as Yusuf Ali explains (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=6&amp;Ayah=119&amp;toAyah=119&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=4\">his translation of the meanings of Verse 119 and his note below<\/a>), we should not raise fresh scruples about this issue!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>&nbsp;\u201cWhy should ye not eat of (meats) on which God\u2019s name hath been pronounced, when He hath explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you \u2013 except under compulsion of necessity? But many do mislead (men) by their appetites unchecked by knowledge. Thy Lord knoweth best those who transgress.\u201d <\/strong>(119)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We read in Ali\u2019s note: \u201c<em>When a clear law has explained what is lawful and unlawful in food, it is wrong to raise fresh scruples and mislead the ignorant.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Although the term he used, \u2018appetites\u2019 (for \u2018<em>ahwaa<\/em>, the plural of hawa \u0647\u0648\u0649\u2019) seems to paint a fitting picture here -since we\u2019re talking about food- I still prefer the literal interpretation of \u2018plummeting desires.\u2019&nbsp; As we said before, \u2018hawa\u2019 is plummeting desire which leads to emptiness, an explanation quite appropriate here for one that \u2018fills\u2019 oneself with emptiness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">IMPORTANT NOTE: The ending of this verse warns us against aggression\/transgression in matters of what we call \u2018Halaal or Haraam\u2019 (the \u2018unbound\/open\u2019 versus the \u2018inviolable\u2019), from which we understand that our prohibiting what is unbound\/Halaal is just as wrong as permitting what is inviolable\/Haraam: Both acts are Udwaan, the opposite of Taqwa, and any who do that (making inviolable what is unbound) would earn the title \u2018al Mu3tadeen\/The Transgressors.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">This reminds us of a previous verse (Day 61)&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#5:87\">HQ 5:87,<\/a><a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> which clearly FORBIDS Those Who Attained Faith from considering Haraam what God has made Halaal, and then again FORBIDS Udwaan\/Aggression, adding that \u2018VERILY, GOD DOES NOT LOVE THE AGGRESSORS!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 120 shows us that deeds of Hindrance, \u2018ithm\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;\u0625\u062b\u0645\u2013 are two kinds: the \u2018external\u2019 or overt, and the \u2018internal,\u2019 or covert &#8211;&nbsp;\u0638\u0627\u0647\u0631#&nbsp; \u0628\u0627\u0637\u0646.&nbsp;&nbsp;The verse COMMANDS us all to \u2018drop\/discard\/let go of\u2019 BOTH (for more on \u2018Hindrance\/ Ithm\u2019 put the words in \u2018search\u2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Verse 121 relates to not eating of something upon which God\u2019s name was not mentioned.&nbsp;Commentators say this means that we should ALWAYS mention God\u2019s name when we eat, and that we should NOT eat of anything upon which we know was mentioned any name OTHER THAN GOD\u2019S.&nbsp;&nbsp;Such a thing to be consumed -when a name other than God&#8217;s has been invoked upon it, is in itself a \u2018fisq\u2019\u0641\u0633\u0642 -as <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#6:145\">Verse 6:145<\/a> would later tell us.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">FISQ:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We did mention earlier that fisq<a href=\"#_ftn2\" id=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a> is about withdrawal from a state of obedience, and that Arabs say: The date has \u2018fasaqat\u2019 when it slides out of its skin.&nbsp; However, when this word appeared in <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%B0%D9%84%D9%83%D9%85%20%D9%81%D8%B3%D9%82\">HQ5:3<\/a> we did not draw attention to it (\u2018fisq\u2019 was the name given to the consumption of certain inviolable meats and to the divination by arrows).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Not always can we draw special attention to such words in our explanation.&nbsp; In our Reading of the Arabi Qur\u2019an however we have -and we will- encounter many variations of this word.&nbsp; Arabic Readers would have noted the words \u2018Faasiqeen\/Faasiqoon\/\u0641\u0627\u0633\u0642\u064a\u0646\/\u0641\u0627\u0633\u0642\u0648\u0646\u2019 (about \u2018pledge-breaking\u2019 or \u2018deserting\u2019 people) appearing many times in the Qur\u2019an so far.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2018Fusooq\u2019 is another noun-form from the verb \u2018fasaqa,\u2019&nbsp; which appeared <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#2:197\">in HQ2:197<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The act\/state of \u2018fusooq\u2019 -although serious- seems to be of a lesser degree than the act\/state of \u2018kufr\u2019 as a Prophetic Saying narrated by Bukhari<a href=\"#_ftn3\" id=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a> indicates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u201c<em>Cursing\/Maligning a Muslim is Fusooq, and battling\/fighting him is Kufr.\u2019&nbsp; <\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">WAHI:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is interesting to note how the word \u2018waHa\/\u0648\u062d\u0649\u2019 is used in the next part of the verse;&nbsp; note that is not always about \u2018Divine revelation,\u2019 although that\u2019s how most Muslims understand it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2018SheyaTeen\u2019 here are probably human deviants.&nbsp;&nbsp;Certainly, there are&nbsp;<em>many such&nbsp;persons<\/em> who would argue to convince us to do things different from what God has instructed, and if we obeyed them, we would be Shirkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">(Ali explained <a>\u2018ShayaTeen\u2019 <\/a>here as \u2018pagans;\u2019 but it could be anyone.&nbsp; Asad explained it here as \u2018evil impulses,\u2019 pointing to the tendency to transgress in each of us.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Verse 122 quite strikingly seems to indicate that a person without an enlightened purpose in life, is virtually DEAD\u2026!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=6&amp;Ayah=122&amp;toAyah=122&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=4\">Ali\u2019s note <\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=6&amp;Ayah=122&amp;toAyah=122&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">Asad\u2019s note<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">4.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 123 is a statement on the Nature of Human Society:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is always so, that in any township,&nbsp;<strong>its most scheming citizens would be the highest-ranking Mujrims\/\u2018Evil-Earners,\u2019 among them,<\/strong>&nbsp;those who would \u2018cut off\u2019 for themselves, or extract, the rights of others.&nbsp;&nbsp;But they only connive against their own selves without perceiving it!&nbsp; \u2018Mujrim,\u2019 literally means \u2018someone who cut off something, or drew it out of another\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn4\" id=\"_ftnref4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a>&nbsp; (we encountered this word earlier; <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.com\/post\/iqralaan.wordpress.com\/366\">Blog Post Day 54<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The following verse 124 ends by specifying that those \u2018akaabir\u2019&nbsp;\u0623\u0643\u0627\u0628\u0631-&nbsp;High-ranking folk, who committed such acts will be hit by \u2018smallness\u2019\u0635\u063a\u0627\u0631-&nbsp;Degradation AND Severe Suffering because of their conniving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Degradation, humiliation, and suffering to those of \u2018high\u2019 rank who made others suffer.&nbsp;&nbsp;Justice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">5.&nbsp;Verse 125 holds so many beautiful concepts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>&nbsp;\u201cSo, whomever God wills to guide, He expands his chest\/head \u2018sadr\u2019 to Al- Islam (Pure Reverence and Accountability) and whomever He wills to let stray, He renders his chest\/head \u2018sadr\u2019 constricted in distress as if he were laboriously scaling into the sky.&nbsp;&nbsp;That is how God brings about Turmoil<\/strong><a href=\"#_ftn5\" id=\"_ftnref5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a> <strong>&nbsp;upon those who do not believe.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Readers may have guessed that there is scientific fact here, unknown during the time of Revelation, which is that the higher the altitude, the lower the barometric pressure, the less oxygen we can obtain per breath.. until\u2026 breathing becomes impossible once we start \u2018scaling into the sky.\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>But that is not what the verse is about!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It\u2019s about people with open hearts\/minds, versus people with closed hearts\/minds.&nbsp;&nbsp;It was God\u2019s \u2018design\u2019 when He created us, that those of us who open our hearts\/minds will feel elated when introduced to Islam (Pure Reverence to Him and Accountability), while those of us who have closed our hearts\/minds, will only feel uneasy, and wish to get \u2018back down,\u2019 so as to breathe freely again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>Dear Reader:&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>Both you and I know that we cannot label people who are uneasy about Islam today as being \u2018closed-minded,\u2019 not after OUR version of Islam has transmuted from what it once was!&nbsp;&nbsp;Today \u2018Islam\u2019, to many, has become a label that often holds unattractive and indeed, unworthy, components.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>It is the duty of educated and dedicated Muslims to spare no effort in attempting to become worthy of this Pure Standard of Accountability<\/em>&nbsp;\u062f\u064a\u0646<em> <\/em><em>\/Deen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">&nbsp;\u2018Islam\u2019 \u0625\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645&nbsp; has been interpreted in some earlier postings as Pure Reverence, and its slightly amended in English today to reflect it also being about \u2018accountability;\u2019 Islam is, after all, The Deen, THE Accountability Standard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">God does say that The Deen\/Accountability Standard (how He holds us all accountable) is Islam\/ \u0625\u0650\u0646\u064e\u0651 \u0627\u0644\u062f\u0650\u0651\u064a\u0646\u064e \u0639\u0650\u0646\u062f\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0640\u0647\u0650 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u0625\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0644\u064e\u0627\u0645\u064f\u201d in reference to HIS pure, flawless standard, see Day 26 for definitions of Islam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">When Islam is preceded by a possessive pronoun, as in \u2018their\/ your\u2019 Islam,<a href=\"#_ftn6\" id=\"_ftnref6\"><sup>[6]<\/sup><\/a> it would indicate that party\u2019s \u2018Islam,\u2019 their particular way of following -or failing to follow- God\u2019s standard, whether inwardly or outwardly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">This leads to an important realization:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>If the reality is that each Muslim is portraying his\/her Islam, then no one professing Islam should be taken as an example of Islam (t<\/em>he only two examples God gave us to emulate were Prophet Abraham and our beloved Messenger, peace upon them both, in <a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#search\/quran\/%D8%A3%D8%B3%D9%88%D8%A9%20%D8%AD%D8%B3%D9%86%D8%A9\">33:21; 60:4)!<\/a><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>That is because Islam is an ideal accountability standard, and people -whose reality is subject to change- cannot exemplify it. Having said that, let us also understand that each of us can and must exert ourselves to exemplify the ideal Muslim!&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Do we have ideal Muslims around us?&nbsp; Indeed we do!&nbsp; But let\u2019s not place anyone high up on a pedestal.&nbsp;&nbsp; Islam is about the inner Pure Reverence (which no one knows) and the outer Accountability (which everyone sees), and whenever personalities we\u2019ve been looking up to \u2018suddenly\u2019 fall, we understand that it was because of incongruence, either between the inner and the outer or within them.&nbsp; We also understand that it is God Who judges, and God Who forgives, and God Who helps us learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">6.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 126 presents the Messenger with his Lord-Sustainer\u2019s Straightened Path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is here, for him and for us, in these detailed verses\/signs for people who \u2018receive admonition\/take them to heart\u2019 (Ali\/Asad).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In Verse 127, persons who receive admonition and pursue the Straightened Path, are promised \u2018Darul-salam\u2019 the Abode Of Peace\u2019 with their Lord, and He is their Protector\/Intimate as a result of the deeds they were doing (in Life).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>(Feel free dear Reader- no matter what \u2018faith\u2019 you belong to- to think or say:&nbsp;\u201cLord, grant ME to be among them!\u201d)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">7.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a>Verse 128 is interesting in that it narrates an exchange that takes place in the Hereafter after everyone on earth is assembled.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The verse first addresses a (single) community of \u2018Jinn,\u2019 regarding what had been going on in life between them and certain persons of \u2018Inss,\u2019 when these two groups of \u2018wrong-doers\u2019&nbsp;\u0638\u0627\u0644\u0645\u064a\u0646 \/Thaalimeen<a href=\"#_ftn7\" id=\"_ftnref7\"><sup>[7]<\/sup><\/a> were \u2018making lengthy use\u2019 of each other\/ \u0645\u064e\u062a\u064e\u0639\u064e&nbsp; \/mata\u0639\u2019a<a href=\"#_ftn8\" id=\"_ftnref8\"><sup>[8]<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In Verse 130 the verse addresses a (single) community of \u2018Inss\u2019\u0625\u0646\u0633&nbsp; and&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2018Jinn\u2019&nbsp;\u062c\u0646&nbsp;&#8211; and asks, were not Messengers&nbsp;<em>from \u2018yourselves\u2019 (plural) <\/em>sent to&nbsp;<em>you (plural) <\/em>to warn of this day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Now before we continue, let us make a conscious realization that we may have to \u2018reframe our mind\u2019 according to what the Qur\u2019an says.&nbsp; We are not negating the existence of unseen beings called Jinn, but we are distancing ourselves from preconception so as to do \u2018tadabbur\u2019 of the Qur\u2019an by following each word (as closely as possible) to its original intent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Just read on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">IMPORTANT NOTE:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We have seen how the question was posed to them as one community, in the plural- NOT in the dual-&nbsp;\u0645\u062b\u0646\u0651\u0649&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">This may indicate what most exegetes have said, that it applies to both communities.&nbsp; There has been speculation however on whether \u2018jinn\u2019 being descriptive of anyone or anything hidden could indicate humans as well (humans who were \u2018incognito\u2019 in life, living in the shadow of others and had not, in fact, sought to be seen or heard), seeing that Inss is from \u2018anasa\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn9\" id=\"_ftnref9\"><strong><sup><strong><sup>[9]<\/sup><\/strong><\/sup><\/strong><\/a> to see, hear, find comfort, companionship and homogeneity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In Arabic, the root-verb Janna\/ <a href=\"#_ftn10\" id=\"_ftnref10\"><sup>[10]<\/sup><\/a><strong>\u062c\u0646<\/strong> &nbsp;standsfor&nbsp;many human references&nbsp;such as \u2018the human heart\/mind-\u2018qalb\u2019 -janaan,\u2019 \u2018the human fetus -janeen,\u2019 what is hidden in the \u2018human mind -junoon,\u2019 also the person \u2018buried in the grave- janeen,\u2019 AND as seen below in our 1000 year-old lexicon, the term \u2018janaan\u2019 used to stand for the \u2018vast majority\u2019 of persons:<br>\u0648\u062c\u064e\u0646\u064e\u0627\u0646 \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u0627\u0633 \u0645\u064f\u0639\u0652\u0638\u0645\u064f\u0647\u0645 \u0648\u064a\u0633\u0645\u064e\u0651\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u064e\u0651\u0648\u064e\u0627\u062f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>Dear Reader:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>This does NOT negate the \u2018Jaan\u2019 which God created&nbsp; from fire<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The Qur\u2019an mentions&nbsp; \u2018Jaan\u2019 twice in the Qur\u2019an as created from fire in (HQ15:27; 55:15), and twice shows us Iblees himself saying that he is created from fire (HQ7:12; 38:76).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Jaan is considered singular.&nbsp; The plural \u2018Jinn\u2019 does not appear at all with regard to creation, because anything and anyone could be \u2018janna\/\u062c\u0646\u064e\u0651\u2019\u2026 and as a plural they could be \u2018jinn,\u2019<em> a description of anything or anyone hitherto hidden or indiscernible, such as HQ6:76 which was describing Abraham being concealed by the \u2018blanket of night,\u2019 as well as other examples we\u2019ll see below.&nbsp; This also reminds us of our <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.com\/post\/iqralaan.wordpress.com\/420\">Blog Post Day 71<\/a><em>, where we quoted an early&nbsp;12th century lexicon, which said quite clearly: \u201cTherefore all Angels are jinn (indiscernible), but not all the&nbsp;jinn&nbsp;(the indiscernible) are Angels\u2026\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In CONFIRMATION of the above we find the oldest exegetes saying that the word \u2018Jaan\u2019 points to Iblees himself.<a href=\"#_ftn11\" id=\"_ftnref11\"><sup>[11]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>FINALLY:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>Whatever the Qur\u2019an mentions of Gheyb (Unseen) IS a Reality, but it is one which we can only attempt to understand without being able to prove or disprove.&nbsp;&nbsp;But if we had a true will to understand the Qur\u2019an, we should peel off all the preconceptions we have and take each word back to its origin AND study the context in which it appears.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Interestingly, \u2018janna,\u2019 is not the only opposite to \u2018anasa;\u2019&nbsp;many might not realize that there is another opposite which is \u2018waHasha.\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;Whereas \u2018anasa\u2019 denotes finding comfort in someone, the verb \u2018wahasha&nbsp;\u0648\u064e\u062d\u064e\u0634\u064e\u2019 denotes the opposite: Apprehension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">(We still use the word to mean \u2018beast.\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;Its plural \u2018wuhoosh\u2019 is mentioned once in HQ81:5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Let us take our time to reread the above verses, using what we now KNOW of the origin of these Arabic words.&nbsp;&nbsp;Perhaps if we of think \u2018Hidden\u2019 from now
