Note that, by taking their Accountability lightly, although not totally forgetting\/neglecting it, they ended up dismissing it completely from their lives because of how this lowly life DELUDES us.&nbsp; Their dire consequence is that GOD NEGLECTS them when they are most in need of Him, and they are left alone&nbsp; to face their consequence alone (the root-verb \u2018nasiya\/ \u0646\u064e\u0633\u0650\u064a\u064e\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn1\" id=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> is about forgetting\/neglecting\/leaving something behind or about something that comes after).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=7&amp;Ayah=0&amp;toAyah=0&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=4\">Yusuf Ali\u2019s<\/a>&nbsp;Explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.altafsir.com\/ViewTranslations.asp?Display=yes&amp;SoraNo=7&amp;Ayah=0&amp;toAyah=0&amp;Language=2&amp;LanguageID=2&amp;TranslationBook=7\">Muhammad Asad\u2019s<\/a>&nbsp;Explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>COMMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>&nbsp;PAGE 157:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">1.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 52 brings us back to THIS LIFE after so many verses had us immersed in scenes of the Afterlife (<a href=\"https:\/\/tanzil.net\/#7:37\">from Verse 37<\/a> speaking about death, onward).&nbsp; These heart-stopping verses ended with Verse 51 which gave us&nbsp; SEQUENCE &amp; CONSEQUENCE in a nutshell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a>Now, Verse 52 tells us that God had brought to \u2018them\u2019<\/a><a href=\"#_ftn2\" id=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a> a \u2018Kitaab\u2019 delineated\/detailed for them in (His) full Knowledge, (to be) Gift-Guidance and Mercy <em>for&nbsp;A People<\/em>&nbsp;(Qawm\/\u0642\u0648\u0645) who have Faith and Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The fact that there is only&nbsp;<em>one<\/em>&nbsp;Compilation, and that all who have faith and trust in it are considered&nbsp;<em>one<\/em>&nbsp;People shows as the unifying factor of faith:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In the final analysis, not only the Messengers of God who delivered one Message,<em>&nbsp;but all those who followed them while truly seeking God,&nbsp;<\/em>are one brotherhood.&nbsp;&nbsp;If only we could all realize that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">2.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 53 asks whether they await the Compilation\u2019s \u201cta\u2019weelahu \u2013&nbsp;\u062a\u0623\u0648\u064a\u0644\u0647&#8221; translated by Ali as \u2018the final fulfillment of the event,\u2019 and by Asad as \u2018the final meaning to unfold.\u2019&nbsp;&nbsp;Both are correct:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The word \u201cTa\u2019weel\u201d \u2013\u062a\u0623\u0648\u064a\u0644&nbsp; is about the beginning (\/\/\u0623\u0648\u064e\u0651\u0644awwal\/first) and the ending (\u0645\u0622\u0644\/ma\u2019aal),<sup> <\/sup>from the root verb \u2018 \u2019awala,\u2019<a href=\"#_ftn3\" id=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a> which is why the verb \u2018aala, ya\u2019oolu &nbsp;\u064a\u0624\u0648\u0644 &#8211; \u0622\u0644 denotes something or someone returning to the first point of reference. Knowing that you\u2019d understand how reference often is to the head-of-family or the most prominent forefather, as in the word \u2018Aal\u2019 in \u2018Aali Imraan\/Ibraheem\/Daoud\u2019-&nbsp;\u0622\u0644 \u0639\u0645\u0631\u0627\u0646\/\u0627\u0628\u0631\u0627\u0647\u064a\u0645\/ \u062f\u0627\u0648\u0648\u062f&nbsp;&#8211; \u2018the Family of\/those who are referenced to &#8230;..).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em>Reading this verse we feel that it is asking us what we are waiting for, and telling us: DO NOT WAIT for the ta\u2019weel\u2026 you do not want the references in the Compilation to unfold after having wasted your life!!&nbsp; That is because:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">At the time when the Compilation will be fulfilled in reference to its begi<a>nnin<\/a>gs, and its full meaning is unfolded, people can only lament and acknowledge that this has always been THE Just Truth, delivered by their Lord-Sustainer\u2019s Messengers!&nbsp; They will lament the lost opportunity of life where they squandered and lost their very Selves, and now start begging for anyone to intercede on their behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">3.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verse 54 describes the creation of our universe in six distinct Aeons. The word \u2018yawm-\u064a\u0648\u0645 <a href=\"#_ftn4\" id=\"_ftnref4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a>\u2019 in Arabic originally meant \u2018a period, an epoch, an event.\u2019&nbsp; The plural is \u2018ayyaam,\u2019 its origin having been \u2018\u0623\u064a\u0648\u0627\u0645-aewaam\u2019 before it changed to ease its pronunciation.&nbsp; This is where the English word \u2018aeon\u2019 seems to have originated (words which cross-over, often interchange the letters \u2018m\u2019 and \u2018n\u2019).&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.etymonline.com\/search?q=aeon\">Etymology:<\/a>&nbsp;1640s, from L.&nbsp;<em>aeon<\/em>, from Gk.&nbsp;<em>Aion <\/em>\u201cage, eternity\u201d (see eon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Also note that Muhammad Asad said \u2018aeon\u2019 (which is how I first became interested in his work after someone I was speaking to, explaining the word \u2018yawm\u2019 -as \u2018aeon\u2019- mentioned that they\u2019d read the same in Asad\u2019s explanation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It is in this beautiful verse which tells us about our Lord-Sustainer\u2019s creation that we encounter the word \u2018Arch \u2013\u0639\u0631\u0634\u2019 &nbsp;for the first time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Yusuf Ali says in note 1032 that it is \u2018metaphorical; symbol of authority and power..\u2019 and Muhammad Asad agrees in note 43, connecting the expression to God\u2019s creation of the universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We should bear in mind that the word \u2018arch\/\u2019\u0639\u0631\u0634 in Arabic (near-identical pronunciation and meaning to the English)<a href=\"#_ftn5\" id=\"_ftnref5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a> expresses BUILDING, complete with raising and fortifying what is built.&nbsp;&nbsp;The \u2018arch\u2019 which the Qur\u2019an ALWAYS mentions with regard to&nbsp;God\u2019s Creation, is directly related to the form and function of this universe, as the receptacle of LIFE.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Verse HQ 2:255 tells us about God, that \u201c..no slumber nor sleep overcomes Him\u2026\u201d&nbsp; The concept of the \u2018Arch\u2019 seems to have been well-<a>understood b<\/a>y early Muslims who manifested it into their architecture; see <a href=\"https:\/\/muslimheritage.com\/uploads\/ACF4FB.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Arch That Never Sleeps<\/a>&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">5.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verses 55-56 are poignantly beautiful, as they delineate for us both the form and intent of what would be considered THE&nbsp; best Supplication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The form is with humble need and in secret (\u062a\u0636\u0631\u0651\u0639\u0627\u064b \u0648\u062e\u0641\u064a\u0629) &nbsp;while the intent is in fear and longing (\u062e\u0648\u0641\u0627\u064b \u0648\u0637\u0645\u0639\u0627)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We spoke earlier on Day 66 of the most tender &amp; vulnerable supplication in a state of \u2018taDharru3\/\u062a\u0636\u0631\u064f\u0651\u0639\u2019 &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Which was about tenderness, humility, and the utter vulnerability of newborns as they are breastfeeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Let us note the endings of each of these two verses, and do \u2018tadabbur\u2019 of what they seem to refer to, in Oh.. such a subtle yet most eloquent way!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">After the verse on calling upon our Lord-Sustainer: \u201c<em>God does not love The Mu3tadeen\u201d<\/em> (The Transgressors, opposite of The Aware).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">After the verse on calling on Him without corrupting the Earth: <em>\u201cGod\u2019s Mercy is close (as close as He Is)<a href=\"#_ftn6\" id=\"_ftnref6\"><sup><strong><sup>[6]<\/sup><\/strong><\/sup><\/a> to The MuHsineen<\/em> (The Benevolent, who do Ihssaan, beyond the call of duty, beautifying their good-deeds).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The Prophet r spoke of supplication and the nearness of God when he heard his companions\u2019 voices getting louder with \u2018La-Ilaha-illa-Allah\u2019 and \u2018Allahu Akbar\u2019 as they approached a \u2018wadi\u2019 during one of their journeys together, saying:<a href=\"#_ftn7\" id=\"_ftnref7\"><sup>[7]<\/sup><\/a> <em>\u2018Easy upon yourselves! For you are not calling upon someone deaf or absent! He is with you.&nbsp; He is The One Who Hears, The One Who Is Near.\u201d<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Note that we are descending now, (from the highest level) hearing of the creation of the Exalted Expanses and the Earth, to the gentle tenderness with which we should behave and supplicate, to a call for awareness, (now at ground-level) looking up to God and His Infinite Ever-present Mercy upon The MuHsineen, in how the earth gives us its bounty by way of the winds and heavy rain-laden clouds which God sends (now at ground-level looking down) for fruits to rise up out of the ground for us\u2026 to finally (below ground-level) be reminded that in such way shall the dead be raised!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">These verses should be read and pondered upon\u2026.again and again\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>PAGE 158:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">6.&nbsp;&nbsp; Verse 58 (now that we are at ground level) gives us a similitude, comparing people to land; wholesome land versus unwholesome land.&nbsp;&nbsp;The fruits of each are the PRODUCT of the land in which they grew!&nbsp; The end of the verse shows us that such a similitude is for People Who are Appreciating\/ being Productive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Indeed, anyone working the land or even simply observing nature would know this, and we who are doing tadabbur realize that this is related to HOW THE DEAD SHALL RISE UP, some \u2018wholesome\u2019 and some \u2018unwholesome.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">With that stirring introduction we are taken to the story of the first of God\u2019s Messengers Noah, peace upon him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Prophet Noah\u2019s Message was simply:&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>\u201c\u2026Worship God; you have no other god\u2026.!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">7.&nbsp;&nbsp;When (in verse 64) they \u2018rejected him\/gave him the lie\u2019 (Ali\/Asad), God saved Noah and those who were with him in the \u2018fulk\u2019 while those who belied him were drowned, for they were a \u2018blind\u2019 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">\u2018Fulk\u2019&nbsp;\u0641\u064f\u0644\u0643\u2019 <a href=\"#_ftn8\" id=\"_ftnref8\"><sup>[8]<\/sup><\/a> is a sphere, or \u2018curved, rounded\u2019 vessel,&nbsp;<em>\u201c..similar to the \u2018felkeh\u2019 of a spinning-wheel or the roundness of a woman\u2019s breast.. or so sea-vessels are called because they turn around in the water..\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;
